Pope Francis was busy on his second day in Madagascar, which
he spent in the capital, Antananarivo.
He celebrated Mass for around 1 million faithful in the
Soamandrakizay diocesan field, reminding them that following in Jesus’
footsteps is demanding.
The Pope spent much of the afternoon at the Akamasoa “City
of Friendship” Association, where a community helps poor Malagasy to help
themselves through work.
Pope Francis wrapped up the day by meeting with priests,
religious men and women, and seminarians.
