The Vatican Secretariat for Communication and the Society of
St. Francis de Sales (Salesians of Don Bosco) have signed an agreement of
collaboration, as part of the communications reform called for by Pope Francis.
Following the signing of an agreement with the Society
of Jesus, which is now present as a mission community within the
communication system of the Holy See, and according to the indications of the
Vatican Secretariat of State, the Secretariat for Communication has
now signed a Convention with the Society of St. Francis de Sales.
This will allow the Salesian community to share the charism of Don Bosco within
the framework of the different services provided by the Secretariat for
Communication.
The Convention will last for three years after which it can
be renewed. The agreement was signed by the Rector Major of the Society of St.
Francis de Sales, Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime, and the Prefect of
the Secretariat for Communication, Msgr. Dario Edoardo Viganò.
